No more heat down the drain
Heating domestic water is the second-highest energy demand in a home, accounting for up to 30% of the energy consumption.
BEE brilliantly recovers the heat that literally goes down the drain, utilizing it to heat a stainless steel recovery plate, which warms the incoming cold water, recovering 56% of the heat. With BEE, 37% less hot water is used.
BEE can pay for itself in as little as 2 years while reducing greenhouse gas emissions by up to one ton a year, and may qualify for Government or Utility grants. BEE’s performance has been tested and certified by the University of Padua, Italy.
Manufacturer of the highest-grade polypropylene and stainless steel, BEE is certified safe for drinking water. Inside BEE, the drain water flows unobstructed through a large, tall and wide chanel eliminating any risk of accumulation of dirt. Cold water flows through a serpentine channel where a stainless steel recovery plate transfers the heat from the drain water to the cold water below.
BEE connects to a standard 2” shower drain line and a ½” cold water supply line. The reliability and durability of BEE are the same as a common drain pipe – no maintenance is required – BEE is covered by a 25-year warranty.
Additionally, BEE increases the effective hot water capacity – as less hot water is required and can be used with any type of standard plumbing system.
BEE’s patented technology is proven, practical, affordable, and in use in many thousands of homes all over Europe.

Strengths
To date, BEE is the only device on the market capable of recovering the heat dispersed into the environment from a sanitary system. A patented solution which is based on a very simple idea: to use a heat exchanger crossed by the cold water taken from the aqueduct and lapped, inside the recovery unit, by the hot water sent to the drain. Clean water is preheated by removing heat from the waste water and water with a higher temperature enters the mixer or water heater. Even in terms of maintenance, BEE does not require any specific attention other than that required for a traditional drainage network.
